Manager of Fundraising and Donor Development
Support Our Scholars (SOS) is a Central Florida nonprofit dedicated to empowering high-achieving young women from disadvantaged backgrounds. We provide financial and emotional support, along with one-on-one mentoring, to help our Scholars thrive through college and beyond. Together, we’re changing the world—one degree at a time.
Position Overview:
The Manager of Fundraising and Donor Development reports to the Executive Director and leads all fundraising initiatives to advance SOS’s mission. This includes strategy development, donor cultivation, and stewardship. The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder with strong communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for empowering young women through education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy with measurable goals.
- Strengthen relationships with current donors and re-engage lapsed supporters.
- Identify and cultivate new individuals, corporate, and foundation donors.
- Manage fundraising budget, reporting, and donor acknowledgment processes.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Board to sustain a strong donor pipeline.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, or related field.
- 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with proven success, meeting fundraising goals.
- Strong skills in donor relations, excellent written and verbal communications skills and CRM/database use.
- Strategic, organized, and mission-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Hybrid position based in Central Florida, with regular donor meetings and event participation. Some evening and weekend work is required.
