ORLANDO, Fla. (Aug. 11, 2026) — Cogent Bank (Cogent), a Florida-based community bank, today announces the launch of Cogent Trust Services, expanding the bank's private banking capabilities with personalized fiduciary solutions designed to help individuals and families preserve, protect and transfer wealth across generations.
"After more than 26 years in trust and estate services, I've learned that trust administration isn't just about managing assets; it's about understanding what keeps clients up at night and helping them navigate some of life's most important decisions," said Madelayne Cordero, SVP, Managing Director of Trust Services at Cogent Bank. "Our goal is to make these conversations approachable while helping clients protect their families, their assets and their legacy through trusted, personalized guidance."
The launch responds to growing demand for trust and estate services fueled by the continued migration of individuals, families and businesses to Florida, as well as one of the largest generational wealth transfers in U.S. history. As wealth shifts from Baby Boomers to younger generations, Cogent Bank’s Trust Services offering strengthens its relationship-driven approach and provides clients with a more comprehensive suite of financial solutions under one roof.
Since joining Cogent Bank earlier this year, Cordero has built a team of experienced trust professionals to support the launch of Trust Services. As client demand grows, Cogent plans to continue expanding the team and its capabilities to meet the evolving needs of individuals, families and professional partners.
Cordero also brings a particular focus to women navigating wealth transfer and estate planning, an area she says is often overlooked in the industry. “Women are increasingly the ones inheriting and stewarding family wealth, yet so much of the industry still isn’t built with them in mind,” Cordero said. “Having sat in that seat myself, my goal is to make sure every client has an advisor who truly understands what they’re navigating.”
Cogent Trust Services offers a range of fiduciary services, including trust administration, estate settlement, guardianships, trusts for individuals with special needs and specialized expertise in international estate planning, helping clients preserve wealth, protect loved ones and navigate important life transitions.
Cogent Trust Services is designed to complement clients' existing professional relationships. The team works collaboratively with attorneys, certified public accountants and registered investment advisors, allowing clients to continue working with the professionals they trust while benefiting from experienced fiduciary administration and personalized estate planning guidance.
