Winter Film Series: The (Other) History of Britain
While the lives and dramas of queens and kings often take center stage in history, the four-part series "The History of Britain" reveals the other side of the story through the lives of ordinary people. Host Tony Robinson explores notable eras with an eye for fascinating events, compelling personalities, and sometimes odd jobs. The Museum shows free films at 12:00 p.m. (doors open at 11:30 a.m.) on selected Fridays in the Jeannette G. and Hugh F. McKean Pavilion, 161 West Canton Avenue (just behind the Museum). Those attending are invited to bring a lunch. The Museum provides soft drinks as well as articles and refreshments related to the film subjects. Book selections that expand on the film series are available at the Winter Park Library.
