Electrical Estimator – Residential & Commercial Service Projects

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team and help us manage projects valued up to $200,000.
Position Overview:
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for residential and light commercial electrical service projects. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong knowledge of electrical systems, local code requirements, and cost estimating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial projects (not exceeding $200K)
- Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Perform material and labor takeoffs
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
- Collaborate with project managers and field staff to ensure seamless handoff and execution
- Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing
- Participate in bid reviews and pre-construction meetings
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in service-based projects
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial electrical systems
- Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, or equivalent) and Microsoft products.
- Familiarity with NEC, local codes, and industry standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license (a plus, not required)
- Experience with project management or field supervision is beneficial
