Raising Resilient Kids: A Mental Health Conversation

Raising children comes with joy, challenges, and countless questions—especially when it comes to mental health. Join us at the Center for Health & Wellbeing for a dynamic panel discussion with leading mental health experts who will share practical strategies to nurture both individual and family wellness. Together, we’ll explore the power of self-care, the art of healthy conversations, and the importance of strong social support systems. Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, educator or simply someone who plays a meaningful role in a child’s life, this event will empower you with tools to strengthen your own wellbeing while helping your children thrive.
Our panelists will include:
-- Shainna Ali, Ph.D., a mental health counselor, educator, advocate, author and podcast host
-- Sejal M. Barden, Ph.D., Executive Director for the Marriage and Family Research Institute at the University of Central Florida and a Professor in UCF’s Counselor Education program
-- Angelica Negron, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist who works with the CHILL Counseling Program in Orange County Public Schools to provide Individual and Group counseling services.
