Scott Hottenstein is the Director of Outreach and Education for the Orange County Supervisor of Elections office. He served for 24 years in the Navy, made numerous deployments afloat and ashore, and held senior leadership roles with several commands. After retiring from the Navy, Scott became a middle school Civics teacher in Hillsborough County. In 2019, he was selected as a Teacher of the Year finalist in the 7th largest school district in the United States. Scott eventually transitioned to be a full-time advocate as President of a statewide advocacy organization. He was involved in several school board election campaigns before joining the Supervisor of Elections office in 2025. His focus is to educate voters in Orange County, increase Vote-by-Mail ballot enrollment, and recruit for the Adopt-a-Precinct and Feed-a-Precinct programs.
