REED Charitable Foundation is thrilled to announce this \;FREE \;family-friendly Community Education Event featuring the incredible Ava Simmons\, also known as Ava The S.T.E.M. Princess! At the event\, Ava will lead children in hands on experiments including slime &\; an experiment doing chemical reactions with a mini volcano that erupts in a colorful\, fizzy explosion! It is a morning you do not want to miss!
\n \;\n\nAva is a 12-year-old S.T.E.M. Ambassador\, Entrepreneur\, Toy Designer\, and Author. Diagnosed with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia in 2021 Ava used S.T.E.M. and entrepreneurial activities to help overcome her academic challenges and build her confidence. To share her learning journey and encourage others\, Ava creates engaging S.T.E.M.-based educational videos\, authors S.T.E.M. books\, conducts peer-to-peer S.T.E.M. activities in the community\, and develops S.T.E.M. toys for children ages 5-13. To date\, she has conducted 3000+ peer-to-peer S.T.E.M. experiments\, authored 3 books\, and developed 15 branded S.T.E.M. toys. Ava&rsquo\;s current accomplishments include conducting a S.T.E.M. experiment with Drew and Ross on the Drew Barrymore Show\, landing a partnership with Whole Foods to showcase her products at 403 stores across the country\, and partnering with Boys &\; Girls Club for S.T.E.M. Fridays and PBSNC Rootle as part of their Rootle Roadster Tour.
