Lee and Winter Park Chamber President/CEO Betsy Gardner Eckbert\, as we continue to provide Legislative Updates following the recently ended session. The discussion will focus in part on increased art funding.\nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER\n\n\n\n \nSpeaker: Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee\n\nSecretary of State Laurel M. Lee was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis as Florida's 36th Secretary of State and began serving in February 2019.  \n\nDuring her tenure as Secretary of State\, Secretary Lee has worked to strengthen the state's elections infrastructure and cybersecurity defenses\, to increase voter registration and participation\, and to ensure accurate\, fair\, and secure elections in Florida.  She is honored to serve as a member of the Florida Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission\, celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment. In addition to her duties as Florida's Chief Elections Officer\, Secretary Lee serves as Florida's Chief Cultural Officer\, Chief Protocol Officer\, and oversees the Divisions of Cultural Affairs\, Historical Resources\, Corporations\, Libraries and Information Services\, and the Office of International Affairs. \n\nSecretary Lee previously served as a Circuit Court Judge in Florida's Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County\, Florida. During her time as Circuit Court Judge\, Secretary Lee presided in the Circuit Civil Division\, the Civil Appellate Division and the Domestic Relations Division. Prior to serving as a Judge\, Secretary Lee was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Middle District of Florida. She also previously served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the Middle District of Florida\, as a federal judicial law clerk\, and spent time in private practice. \n\nSecretary Lee received her Bachelor's Degree and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida\, where she was a member of Florida Blue Key. She was inducted into the University of Florida Hall of Fame in 1999.\n \n\nPresented by
